Medline Industries, Inc., a leading U.S.-based provider of medical and surgical supplies, officially opened its new international headquarters with the Alderman of the City of Arnhem, Michiel van Wessem in Arnhem’s World Trade Center. One hundred select guests, Medline employees and representatives of the Development Agency East Netherlands and the Province of Gelderland joined the formal opening event. Based just outside of Chicago, IL, Medline is the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of medical and surgical supplies in the U.S. The Medline international headquarters, based in the Netherlands, represents the company’s commitment to the international markets in Europe, Australia and Asia. The Medline leadership team in the new offices will guide future growth all around the world. With sales of nearly $6 billion worldwide in 2013, Medline is growing rapidly overseas tripling its distribution and warehouse facilities in Germany and France, opening new manufacturing facilities in Slovakia and Japan, as well as a new warehouse in Ireland. In Australia, Medline is completing plans for a large new integrated facility for manufacturing, warehousing and sterilization. “As governments demand increased and better care for the aging population, it is Medline’s mission to provide timely delivery of high level medical products at cost effective prices anywhere in the world,” says Tripp Amdur, Medline’s international president.
